Do you know of a pet that I can cuddle with that isn’t too big and isn’t a dog or a cat?

I really want a pet that I can sleep with at night and cuddle with and hold when I watch movies that isn’t a dog, cat, ferret, guinea pig, or rabbit. Please don’t list any of the animals above in your answer.

I knew someone that had a chinchilla as a pet. They claimed it was cuddly and affectionate.
I’ve also heard that sugar gliders make good pets, but I believe they are nocturnal animals.
